WannaCry virus is a ransomware that uses the EternalBlue Exploit to infect Microsoft Windows computers. Once it enters the target system, it quickly encrypts all files and adds the following extensions: wcry, wncryt and wncry. After the virus encrypts files using very strong encryption algorithms, it leaves a ransom note called "Please Read Me! .Txt" on the desktop and runs an application called "Wanna Decrypt0r". Bitcoin rushes to pay the ransom fee or threatens to delete files within 7 days.
Wannacry, which started to spread in early 2017, seized 300,000 computers in more than 150 countries, according to the latest statement by the European Police Office Europol. In today's technology, if anyone can access the programs on your computer without your permission, that computer is no longer yours on the system. Security attempted by the admin will not work. Systems are as safe as user reliability.
